1.2 kV High Voltage Pulse Generators

This product is custom designed and fabricated in the USA by Caprock High Voltage, LLC. The device requires an external 12 VDC supply (included, US North American outlet) and an external 5 V TTL gate pulse (BNC connection). The output is a fast high voltage pulse with an amplitude set by the adjustment knob on the front panel (600 V or 1200 V versions are available). The output pulse width roughly follows the input TTL pulse width (~10 ns pulse width distortion, typ.). Pulses from 35 ns to 1000+ ns can be produced, with 5 ns rise/fall for a wide-bandwidth, 50 Ohm non-reactive load.
 

Inputs:

  • 12 VDC (External power supply included, US North America plug, 2.1 mm barrel jack)
  • External Gate (TTL, 5V HighZ, BNC connection)
Output (BNC Connection):
  • Output voltage: 200-1200 V (positive pulse)
  • Capable of driving a wide range of impedances (operation into a short or open circuit may result in destruction of the device)
  • 5 ns output rise/fall time, typical (50 Ohm, non-reactive load)
  • 30-1000+ ns pulse width
  • Up to 1+ kHz pulse repetition frequency (100 ns pulses, 50 Ohm load). Maximum time-averaged output power of ~10 W.
